Do you think that men & women can learn to become great lovers, in the same way that a person might learn to become a great cook?

Yes, to some extent. You can learn how to cook and you can learn how to cook better - but I think there is also a soul element to cooking, where knowledge alone is not enough. This is the place where the creative and intuitive side of the cook plays a part in the whole dining process.

There are a lot of similarities between sex and cooking. A good chef will pay attention to all the senses in preparing both food and environment. Sight, texture (the way food feels in the mouth), sound (the background music in a restaurant can make or break the whole ambience), taste, the number and arrangement of courses, amount and quality of food ingredients, the aroma of the food, all play a part.

So too in sex; a good lover will ensure that all the senses are involved in the experience. This may not be possible on each and every occasion, just as you wouldn't necessarily dine out at a gourmet restaurant every day, but regular quality sex is as important as nourishing food in my opinion.
